We had Scandinavian officers at my home corps beginning in 1984. Every year, in the middle of the busy Kettles season, they put on a big Luciafest! They went through the phone book, and invited everyone they could find with a Scandinavian name. All the young people and children took part.

We had a "free weekend" 21-23 Nov., which enabled us to attend the Men's Day celebration at Peter's nursery school. It was the day of a big blizzard, so it was just amazing that so many families turned out for it!
