"Harmful Wealth" by Captain Danielle Strickland

If I start trying to quote an excerpt from this article, I will end up typing up the whole thing! So here are some snippets:

"You must, as far as you can, keep from her ... finery, wealth ... and every influence likely to injure her." [Ceremonies Book]

I had no idea we understood as an early Movement that wealth was not simply a neutral part of our lives but a harmful influence on our character.

And still our officers' quarters are most often placed in the suburbs of wealth.

Officer-parents may want to read again what we have promised and officer-kids may need some education around the harmful influence of wealth on the world, cities and our own hearts.

Perhaps our prophetic power has been stripped by ... our current wealthy status.
