Tidmans Receive Salvation Army posting to russia

Today Ellen and I received the final word that The Salvation Army has selected us to be missionaries in the Eastern Europe Territory. This territory includes Russia, Ukraine, Georgia, Romania, Moldova and a few other countries that I am unable to spell. We have committed to a renewable three year term and to start have been assigned as the Area Coordinators for Russia North, stationed in Saint Petersburg, Russia.
It is a huge assignment with a service area covering six million people, four corps and a service center. Ellen and I will also be the Corps Officers at the Saint Petersburg Corps. We leave from Atlanta on June 25th for our new appointment. We find ourselves dealing with the whole range of emotion, from excitement to humility to fear and back again. We know that whom God calls he equips. We also know that once again He has a lot of work ahead in our case. We covet your prayers.
